Pedestrians walk along a Kathmandu street bordered by shops, parked motorcycles and tall buildings. The photograph provides everyday urban context for an analysis of young voters’ expectations about work, public services and accountable government. It is not a record of an election, political meeting or protest.

People sit on red and blue chairs in a sunlit school courtyard, surrounded by pale buildings with red roofs and distant hills. The photograph provides general educational context for an article about family separation. The people pictured are not identified as children of migrant workers or as subjects of the reported cases.
